Globe LTE Home Broadband Plan Review

Hi Lorraine, what particular comments is this about? those spam messages or the limited bandwidth allocation? In my opinion, you should still push through your application, for bandwidth allocation, it is still good enough for home setting. provided na di ka heavy downloader or youtube streamer.

» Posted By Raz On March 9, 2016 @ 10:13 am

Hindi na po. Provided na you got your plan terminated after 3months (from date of installation).

» Posted By Raz On March 9, 2016 @ 10:09 am

Hi, yes the modem is yours if you terminate your account, provided that you had paid for the 3 months installment for it (distributed on your first three monthly bill). No, you are not required to pay for the Super Homephone, it is a bundled service so if your contract expires or you terminated it, the homephone will be terminated as well. Or else, you negotiate with globe to convert it to a stand alone plan.

Hello Jayson! Good to hear from you again here! It seems like you’re enjoying your plan. 😀 and one thing, that sound’s good as the 64kbps printed note for the new plans is just absurd. Haha. Maybe they had retained the original throttling of the OLD plans (speed will go down to 30% of your subscribe speed when you exceeded the daily limit.)

» Posted By Raz On March 2, 2016 @ 2:09 pm

Hello, no, you won’t be charged automatically if you exceeded the 30GB data allowance but you’ll experience a sluggish 64kbps speed. This is the sceneario unless you register a Volume Boost add-on that costs P50 for 1 GB, P200 for 5GB and 300 for P10GB.

Hi Judi. Maybe the temporary solution for now is to blacklist those numbers so that they won’t be able to contact you or else automatically hide the messages they sent. I am not sure if the supplied phone has this feature for messages. But on a smartphone, you can do it.

» Posted By Raz On March 1, 2016 @ 9:34 am

Hi freezebox! We’re experiencing the same. We are even receiving messages about credit cards, loans and others. This is somewhat annoying because there are times that messages we’re sent on a late night. Well, I am not bothered with it now since the sim is now being used by my cousin. But, I am still thinking if these people knew the number range of postpaid subscribers or did globe “sold” our numbers to them. 🙂

I’m glad you finally got the plan you really want!

And for PLDT, I think Globe is way better compared to them (not considering the current 50GB monthly cap of globe). 🙂 Anyway, we’re on our 10th month with Globe, still did not experience any major problem with the service.

Thanks for sharing your experience here! 😀

» Posted By Raz On February 1, 2016 @ 12:55 pm

Hi Jayson! Thank you! 🙂 Yes, Not all technicians really knew about the availability of services they’re offering. Or they are forcing people to go wireless since it will be easier for them to do the installation? Haha. So what’s the status? What service provider are you with now? I hope okay naman ang performance ng unang nakapaginstall sa bahay niyo.

» Posted By Raz On January 31, 2016 @ 10:13 pm

I had experienced what you said on Smart/PLDT but not on Globe. It really depends on the area where you are living.

I guess you are pertaining to Telstra as the other “better” provider here that might enter PH soon. I hope Telstra is really a better one.

First, I want to apologize since I am replying only now, my blog went offline a day ago due to a power surge on my host’s data center. To answer your question, you can buy volume packages or add-ons so that you can still surf at maximum speed of your plan. If you opt not to buy, then you need to be use to the sluggish connection you had now at least, until your cut-off. Your bill will arrive on the date that your account has been activated, usually it is the installation date or as stated by the technician who installed it.

The new LTE plans are not designed for heavy downloader as you’ll easily reach the monthly allocation. Well, you can always buy volume packs to increase your bandwidth (not speed) but with an additional cost.

» Posted By Raz On December 8, 2015 @ 10:53 pm

Yes, you are correct. What I meant to say here is that whether you (or I) use 250.1MB data (as per your computation) or 1GB, 2GB, 50GB and so on as exceedance to the 5GB allocation, you will be still charge the maximum of P1,500 per month. This is because of Anti Bill Shock feature. I hope I already clarified the statement.

Hi, Ms. Shen! Yes, you can insert the homephone’s SIM card into another phone. The wireless landline is like a separate postpaid account that is just preloaded with a free Super Homephone subscription.

At home setting, the supplied unit really works well. There is a charging dock supplied so that it looks like a real landline. You can also bring with you the supplied unit if you want but it is bulky and not ideal to use while on travel. 😛

Hi. You’re welcome, Ms. Irma! Sticking to the old plan will be the best choice for now. The new plans with “entertainment bundle” are deceiving! With the fact that the bandwidth consumed with those perks is counted against the monthly allocation. I feel sorry for those who had already migrated to the new plans or those who just signed up for Globe Home Broadband. I hope the old scheme will be offered again soon, and shall NTC do something with this.

Pineng PN-999 20000mAh Powerbank Review – A Xiaomi Alternative

Hi Gab, I guess it is still safe to use. The PB might not work already if it is greatly affected by the charger you had before. Just be cautious.

Powerbank won’t automatically turn off kahit fully charged sya – what do you mean here? mine will stay at 100%/with lights on(for no LCD display) hanggang connected sila sa charger.

» Posted By Raz On March 29, 2017 @ 10:10 am

Nangyari sa tablet ko ito, pero due to lose contacts ng micro usb port ng tablet ko. namamatay na siya once sa pb ako nagcharge. Not encountered pa sa phones. sa ibang phone, natry mo na din ba?

» Posted By Raz On March 14, 2017 @ 7:53 am

Hi, di ko po alam kung sino yung kinakausap mo for Maam. But anyway, PN-999 uses conventional batteries. PN-969 and PN-989 uses the more advance (by technology) battery, Li-ion Polymer. In theory, PN-969/989 should be a bit better than 999 (lighter and can hold charge a bit longer). pero di ko kayang i-justify ito myself kasi PN-999 lang ang meron ako sa tatlo. Kung may pagkakaiba man ang tatlo,. halos di naman yan ramdam sa consumer end. Preference lang kumbaga kung alin sa kanila ang gusto mo.

» Posted By Raz On March 6, 2017 @ 8:41 am

Hi Princess, bago palang po ba yung powerbank mo? Try to use a different charger if may difference.

» Posted By Raz On March 3, 2017 @ 5:01 am

Hi Wendell, I don’t have PN969. Pero ang alam ko it will automatically turn off pag hindi ginagamit o kaya full na yung chinacharge niya gaya ng ibang pineng powerbanks, but just to make sure always turn off the PB kung hindi naman na gagamitin.

» Posted By Raz On February 27, 2017 @ 9:57 am

You’re welcome! 🙂

» Posted By Raz On November 23, 2016 @ 4:11 pm

Yes po, this is assuming na yung current percentage ng battery ng pwerbank is 15% or below. of course, mas mabilis magcharge kung may laman pa yung powerbank. Yes it will help, the higher amperage, the faster charging.

» Posted By Raz On November 23, 2016 @ 3:48 pm

Yes Nurin, it will take 10 to 20 hours to fully charge the powerbank. Depende sa charger na gamit mo. it will be more slower kung pang feature phone o budget smartphone ang charger mo.

» Posted By Raz On November 23, 2016 @ 3:33 pm

Hi Dianne, sorry at ngayon lang ako makakasagot. Ano na status ng powerbank mo? Nasolve na ba ang problem?

» Posted By Raz On November 8, 2016 @ 5:13 pm

I’ll correct my first comment. It should be Lithium-ion polymer, not Lithium polymer. The battery used in PN-969 is better in theory because it can hold the charge a bit longer (except that it is lighter and thinner than PN-999), but in real life scenario, this is negligible, since you will be using the powerbank form day to day basis, anyway. Consumer choice lang kung ano ang gusto mong type of battery.

» Posted By Raz On October 27, 2016 @ 9:53 am

Hi criszy, pn-999 uses 18650 cells (parang double A ang itsura) while pn-969 uses a lithium polymer battery (shape is similar sa typical smartphone battery). PN-969 is a bit thinner and lighter compared sa PN-999.

» Posted By Raz On October 26, 2016 @ 8:31 am

Hi! microUSB cable po ang tawag doon, na usually siya din ang charging cable mo sa phone kung android ang phone mo.

Ok lang po gamitin kung ano yung ginagamit niyong charger sa phone. 🙂

» Posted By Raz On October 15, 2016 @ 2:33 pm

You’re welcome po! 🙂

» Posted By Raz On August 7, 2016 @ 6:54 am

Hi Ezekiel. I am sorry to reply only now. How was it? Did you already tried opening your powerbank?

» Posted By Raz On July 23, 2016 @ 10:18 am

Hi Reika, first time charging mo ba ito? Under replacement/warranty pa ba, kung oo, ireturn mo nalang sa lazada. Baka defective ang unit mo.

» Posted By Raz On May 28, 2016 @ 7:26 am

Hi, kumusta na Victor? Did you already try using a different adapter?
