Globe LTE Home Broadband Plan Review

Ohhh. May I know how “intense” the capping is? 😀

» Posted By Raz On May 6, 2016 @ 3:39 pm

Hi Marvel, if you have some more patience and time to wait (:-P),wait for the new Rubicon plans, they might be better for you. 🙂

For the current plans, I am not advising you to get the Plan 1299. Because once you consumed the data allowance, speed will go down to ~0.9mbps.

» Posted By Raz On May 6, 2016 @ 3:38 pm

Hi Roberto! Good to hear that! Did you get the Plan 1599 that still has 50GB/60GB data allowance?

» Posted By Raz On May 6, 2016 @ 3:38 pm

Sadly, hindi pa rin naannnounce ang new plans until this day. Pero mas detailed na yung info about it, I have updated the article. And yes, sa lahat siya magiging available basta ok ang area mo sa old plan.

» Posted By Raz On May 6, 2016 @ 9:30 am

so naikabit na yung globe niyo? haha.

bakit ayaw ng PLDT na magupgrade kayo?

» Posted By Raz On April 19, 2016 @ 6:36 pm

Hi Nicole! How is it going?

» Posted By Raz On April 19, 2016 @ 6:18 pm

New plans will be announce on May 2. 🙂 sana ito na talaga yung final date.

» Posted By Raz On April 19, 2016 @ 1:42 pm

Thank you for those kind words Nicole! I am glad we are able to help you! 🙂

The 2mbps plan (the current Plan 1099) will be good and more than enough for skype video calls. Tapos intended solely lang pala ang plano mo for that. Just make sure that you have good Globe reception in your area to get the advertised speed. About the bundled landline, are you sure it is also with unli texts? The ones we have is only unlicalls to Globe/Tm.

Haha. That’s fine. Customers lang tayo dito pareho and we must get the service that matches what we had paid/are paying diba. Hoping ako for the new plans of Globe as being talked about in the comments. mas madaming lilipat pag nagkataon. 🙂

» Posted By Raz On April 16, 2016 @ 4:03 pm

ang layo naman sa promised speed.

Same plan lang tayo, Plan 1099.

» Posted By Raz On April 15, 2016 @ 10:52 am

» Posted By Raz On April 15, 2016 @ 9:55 am

Today might be a good day since there are rumors that globe will be launching the new ADSL plans today, sana kasama din ang LTE plans. haha.

» Posted By Raz On April 15, 2016 @ 9:39 am

Let’s look forward with this. Thanks Eildriz!

» Posted By Raz On April 13, 2016 @ 5:27 pm

Hi Kadeem, as commented here by different users in this article thread, you will be still connected even when you exceeded the 30GB limit. I can’t confirm this myself as we are currently subscribed on the old plan. Please read the comments regarding this. Thanks!

» Posted By Raz On April 13, 2016 @ 10:37 am

Hi, thanks sa info. Do you know if this new unannounced plans e covered din ang LTE users (not only DSL)?

» Posted By Raz On April 13, 2016 @ 8:29 am

Salamat.

» Posted By Raz On April 12, 2016 @ 2:01 pm

Salamat.

» Posted By Raz On April 12, 2016 @ 2:01 pm

Haha.

We are facing problems too about the antenna placement now, parang humina yung signal compared before. That’s why minsan e nagdrodrop ang speed, pero may 1 day naman na naignore ata ng system ang speed limit ng account namin at naging 15mbps ang speed. Pero bumalik din sa normal kinabukasan. Patikim lang. haha. Well, at least I know na possible yung speed under home broadband sa lugar namin (medyo remote kasi, wala ngang linya ng kahit anong DSL e.)

Hi Atom, i’m on the same side with Jonel. I am not knowledgeable about the said plan atleast, under Globe Home Broadband. As far as I know, they already phased out all the plans that has daily cap and introduced the monthly cap instead. In the older plans, 2mbps (Plan 1099) has 5GB limit per day, and 30% of that speed for any bandwidth in excess. This is still the plan we are using with Globe.

» Posted By Raz On April 12, 2016 @ 1:55 pm

Hi Jonel!

» Posted By Raz On April 8, 2016 @ 12:04 pm

Try mo po idisconnect ang antenna if you have one or ilipat ng pwesto ang modem, same din ang speed kapag naka direct sa LAN, sa PC? kung ganun pa rin, magrequest ka naicheck ng globe yung connection niyo, na may magpupuntang technician, before ka magpacut, para may proof ka na hindi ok sa area niyo ang service.

» Posted By Raz On April 6, 2016 @ 2:55 pm

» Posted By Raz On April 6, 2016 @ 2:44 pm

Hi Jonel. You should be experiencing your subscribed speed now. Kasi nung March 16 pa naikabit kaya dapat activated na yan. naginquire ka na ba sa globe about the status of your plan?

» Posted By Raz On April 6, 2016 @ 1:51 pm

I suggest that using the chat service is better. But do it on non-peak hours like early morning. or else, mag-aantay ka ng sobrang tagal bago may maassign sayo. Thank you very much for the motivating words. God bless you too! 😀

» Posted By Raz On March 10, 2016 @ 12:55 pm

It is perfectly fine Jerry. No need to apologize. I am also a customer and I experienced that too with some CSRs assigned for my queries. 🙂

» Posted By Raz On March 10, 2016 @ 12:53 pm

Hi Jayson, I hope you don’t mind. I had added this information on the main article. Thank you! It will be good too if you can again confirm that the throttling really works that way on your next billing cycle(s).

» Posted By Raz On March 10, 2016 @ 12:51 pm

Did you signed up in paperless billing? If yes, you will receive your billing statements in the email you had given to them when you opened your account. The billing statement for the homephone and internet is separate. That’s the reason why you can’t check the internet data that has been used using the phone or the globe account. If you are knowledgeable about your account number, use it to add your Tattoo Broadband on Globe MyAccount. If not, ask the CSR through chat.globe.com.ph about your account number and they will give it to you. Do not say anything that is too complicated to understand as the customer service might misinterpret what you are saying. haha. Good luck! Just be patient, the CSR will supply you the information you need, well, sometimes. 😀

» Posted By Raz On March 10, 2016 @ 12:43 pm

Thanks for your kind appreciation Jerry! Will respond to your query on your next comment. 🙂

» Posted By Raz On March 10, 2016 @ 12:33 pm

P2500 ATA plus twice your monthly service fee.

If you are interested only with the modem, para i-openline ito to use another network, I doubt if it is possible for the newly issued units. Also, yung ibang technician, kukunin yang modem mo pag nagcut ng line. sasabihin nila, kasama yun pero actually binayaran mo na yun at a discounted price (pinakitang installation fee yun, I am not sure kung pano yung nakaavail naman ng free installation).

» Posted By Raz On March 9, 2016 @ 12:54 pm

Thanks for the update! About the bandwidth, as commented here by Jayson, he doesn’t yet experience being throttled to 64kbps as indicated by Globe. It is much like the old plans that speed will go down to 30% of your subscribed speed once limit has been reached. Well, the mean difference here is that the 5GB per day became 20GB per month. (Plan 1099, LTE/wireless) I am thankful that we applied before the migration, the only thing that I regret is that we should selected a higher plan that time.

» Posted By Raz On March 9, 2016 @ 12:25 pm

I mean, kung nakapagbayad ka na ng atleast 3months, kasi yun yung time na binabayaran mo yung modem. Kumbaga early termination of service. If naterminate like end of contract na sa globe naman, Yes, the modem is yours.
